James Christensen is well known throughout the U.S. & Canada as a conductor,
composer, arranger, adjudicator and clinician. Over 400 of his works have been
been published. During his 37 years with Walt Disney Productions he produced
music that is now familiar to patrons of the Disney theme parks and movies, In
addition he has conducted numerous bands and orchestras including the San Diego
Symphony, the Winnepeg Symphony, the L.A. Chamber Orchestra, the Radio City Music
Hall Orchestra, and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Earlier in his career he
conducted the University of Wisconsin Marchng Band.
We are indeed fortunate that he again has accepted our invitation to conduct this
evening's Summer concert with the Pomona Concert Band.
