Previous to his appointment at Fullerton College, Dr. Mazzaferro taught for the Mount Diablo and Palo Alto Unified School District conducting both elementary and secondary instrumental ensembles.  His guest conducting and adjudication assignments have included Honor Bands and Orchestras throughout the Western United States, Canada, and New Zealand.  Dr. Mazzaferro has also been selected to conduct the California All-State Honor Band, the Alberta, Canada, All-Provincial Honor Band, the California All-State Junior High Symphonic Band and the Northern California High School Honor Band.

As a clinician, Dr. Mazzaferro has worked with Concert Bands and Orchestras from the United States, Japan, Singapore, New Zealand, Canada, and China.  On his principal instrument, tuba, he has performed with numerous bands and orchestras throughout California.  He is also active in several other profession musical affiliations outside of Fullerton College.

Dr. Mazzaferro is currently the Director of Bands at Fullerton College.  In addition to his academic assignments, He conducts the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Community Band, and instructs Euphonium and Tuba.  He is also completing his twelfth year as Principal Conductor of the Claremont Symphonic Winds.  We are indeed honored to follow his baton this evening.
