Jorge Garcia Dr. Jorge Garcia is the Assisant Conductor for the PCB and has been involved in music education since 1969.  He has taught music on all levels from Kindergarten through college.  He has conducted several honor groups including the Memorial Orchestra for President Chiang Kai-shek, the Sino-American Honor Band, and The Taiwan Youth Symphony Orchestra as well as various honor bands and orchestras in Southern California.  He is a published composer and has written pieces for the Pomona Concert Band and the Golden State British Brass Band.  In 2008 he received his doctorate in Music Education with an emphasis on Lifelong Learning.  He is a well-known lecturer in the areas of Classroom Motivation, "Hymnody in the 21st Century Church," and "Cultural Trusteeship" by Third-Age Learners.  He has given presentations on Lifelong Learning at several conferences in the United States and abroad including Hungary, Canada and The Philippines.  He has also been a mentor teacher for the Christian schools in Taiwan.  He joined the Pomona Concert Band in 2005 playing tuba.
